Budweiser’s 2019 Super Bowl ad features all of its classic motifs: Its beloved Clydesdales, a Dalmation mascot, fields of wheat, and—in an unusual twist—wind turbines spinning to the sultry sounds of Bob Dylan.

Budweiser debuted the ad on Twitter earlier this week with the hashtag #ThisBudsForYou. And indeed it was.

The one-minute commercial starts off with a close-up of April the Dalmation sitting atop a Budweiser wagon, ears flapping in the breeze.

Teams of handsome Clydesdales pull the wagon down a country road, trotting to the beat of Dylan’s ‘Blowin’ in the Wind.’ As the idyllic scene plays out, the camera pans, revealing a rustic landscape of wheat fields dotted with towering turbines.

“The answer my friend, is blowin’ in the wind.”

Known for ads that combine fizz with feelings, Budweiser has produced another Super Bowl commercial that doesn’t disappoint. This year, the brewer has taken up the theme of wind energy to highlight its commitment to ensuring that all of its breweries are powered by renewable energy by 2025.

Budweiser is also donating clean electricity to Atlanta for the week that the city is hosting the Feb. 3 Super Bowl, which will see the New England Patriots face off against the Los Angeles Rams.

Budweiser’s parent company, St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, also holds a power purchase agreement for 152.5 MW of the output from Enel Green Power’s Thunder Ranch wind farm, nestled in Noble, Kay and Garfield Counties in Oklahoma (PFR, 10/9/17).

The brewer's Super Bowl ad ends with the toast-worthy tagline: “Wind Never Felt Better,” which slowly dissolves into, “Now Brewed With Wind Power For A Better Tomorrow.”
