Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority is soliciting bids for up to 50 MW of solar or solar-plus-storage by July 3.

The municipal utility launched the request for proposals on May 1, asking developers to propose projects that will deliver 25 MW by May 2021 and a further 25 MW by May 2023.

Power purchase agreements will have a tenor of at least 10 years, OMPA’s director of operations Melie Vincent tells PFR

The authority is open to utility-scale projects located within Southwest Power Pool as well as smaller projects, including community solar, and even standalone battery storage proposals in its member cities.
