Community Energy has signed a power purchase agreement for the output of a 73 MW solar project in South Carolina.

Dominion Energy will buy the output of the Eastover Solar project in Richland County under the long-term PPA.

The facility is slated to cost $80 million and expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2021.

It is the second utility PPA to be announced for a solar project in South Carolina this year.

The first was a 75 MW contract signed by Santee Cooper for the output of developer North Carolina Renewable Energy's 75 MW Centerfield Cooper project in Chesterfield (PFR, 4/25).
