Sara Pirzada has left her role as managing director, loan capital markets, at Mizuho Securities.

She is rumored to have joined the syndications team at SMBC.

Pirzada was with Mizuho for seven years, where she covered the Americas and was responsible for the syndication and execution of project finance transactions.

Mizuho hired her from WestLB in 2012 as the Japanese bank was looking to build up its presence in Latin America after acquiring Banco WestLB do Brasil (PFR, 11/21/12).

Pirzada has also previously worked at JP Morgan.
