Enel Green Power North America has signed a 12-year PPA with Mondelēz International for a 65 MW portion of its Roadrunner solar project in Texas.

Located in Upton County, Texas, the Roadrunner project is being built in two phases with a total combined capacity of 497 MW (DC).

The 252 MW (DC) first phase is slated for completion by the end of 2019 and the 245 MW (DC) second phase in 2020.

The contract represents Mondelēz’ largest renewable energy partnership globally and its first renewable PPA signed in the U.S.

Enel is working with CCA Group on the tax equity financing for the project, for which bids from investors were due in February (PFR, 2/27).
