LS Power has appointed Clinton Plummer—who was part of the team that developed the U.S.'s first commercial-scale offshore wind project—as CEO of the 2.2 GW Ravenswood Generating gas-fired project in Queens, N.Y.

Plummer takes the helm at Ravenswood amid efforts by LS Power to update the huge generating complex, for example by adding a 316 MW battery storage unit, the first phase of which is supposed to be online in March 2021.
