Canadian independent power producer Northland Power has appointed Pauline Alimchandani as CFO, effective April 13.

Alimchandani will take the reins from Paul Bradley, who is retiring after nearly nine years with the Toronto-based company, as previously reported (PFR, 7/23). Bradley will remain in an advisory capacity with Northland to ensure a smooth transition.

Alimchandani will report to Northland’s president and CEO, Mike Crawley.

She most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of Canadian real estate company Dream Unlimited Corp. Prior to that, she was vice president in equity research at BMO Capital Markets, having started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

“Pauline’s leadership skills, financial acumen and experience managing all finance functions at a fast growing and complex development company are exactly what Northland needs as our growth as a sustainable energy company accelerates,” said Crawley. "I would also like to thank Paul Bradley for his service as CFO at Northland over the last 9 years. Paul’s leadership, prior experience in international finance and engagement with investors was instrumental in Northland’s transformation into a global player in renewable power.”
