Eletrobras has relaunched the process to sell minority positions in 39 special purpose vehicles that own wind assets with a total capacity of 842.5 MW as well as a transmission line project.

The Brazilian company is offering six lots, five of which own wind assets and one a transmission project. Interested bidders have until Aug. 12 to register interest in bidding for the assets.

The state-owned electricity company is following the model Petrobras is using to divest its non-core subsidiaries. Eletrobras has already sold all of its six distribution assets.
