Data centres drive the co-generation comeback
The US Department of Energy labels data centres as "one of the most energy-intensive building types." By 2030, it's estimated that the US will require 47GW of power generation to support the growing AI, crypto, and other data technologies. While the data centre boom will require more renewable projects on the grid, experts believe it will also bring a return to co-generation projects.
